Fairview, a leading facade cladding manufacturer, released a new bespoke graphic cladding solution bringing artwork to life as large scale décor print concepts for architectural projects.
Called VitraArt, this new concept offers a diverse range of formats and options that allows buildings to create a unique identity through innovative designs.
The recently built George Windsor Apartments in Windsor, Melbourne is the first project featuring a VitraArt installation, where an original artwork titled ‘frieze’ by local artist Matthew Johnson embellishes the apartment facade. Johnson explains that VitraArt integrates art into architecture, bringing his artwork to life.
The process of installing a custom graphic cladding solution is simple: First, the design is applied to either Vitrabond FR or Vitracore G2 using VitraArt custom cladding coating. Next, A UV resistant satin-clear fluoropolymer finish is added as a protective film mitigates damage to the decorative surface while the panels are being machined and installed.
VitraArt’s launch follows Fairview’s release of two new colour charts, Solid and Metallic colours, devised to help architects find their facade panel colour of choice or find fresh project inspiration.
